Egyptian Cotton Soft and super-fine, Egyptian cotton is characterised by its extra-long staple (ELS) fibers which makes for a highly refined, luxurious fabric.  Designed for the discerning customer, Standard Issue's 100% Egyptian poplin cotton is crafted by Soktas, a specialist in luxury cotton production since 1971. Crafted in the Turkish Aegean region, Soktas is responsible for all stages of the cotton farming including the growth, extraction, weaving and dying of the cotton, making for a smoother, softer, stronger fiber which boasts a wholly luxurious feel.

Egyptian Care

Caring for your garment The care instructions below are a general guide to follow when caring for woven garments. Please refer to the care label in your garment as first reference. Washing Use tepid water and a mild detergent that does not contain bleach. Dissolve thoroughly. Turn the garment inside out and gently hand wash for several minutes. Dye release is normal for dark colours, particularly in the first wash. Rinse in cool water until all water is clear of suds. Squeeze the water out, rather than wringing or twisting. You can place your garment in a pillowslip or mesh...

Linen

Naturally hypoallergenic, breathable and environmentally friendly, Linen is the perfect Summer fibre.  Our current range of woven Linen is made from 100% Linen.    Derived from the Flax plant, Linen is one of the strongest plant fibres, that requires a fraction of the water compared with other plant fibres. Linen fibres have naturally longer staples, resulting in a stronger and more durable fabric.
