Second skin layers that sit seamlessly against your body – sheer and soft - to celebrate you. Behind every beautiful tulle is a level of attention and care that carries the stories, values, and skills of our wonderful in-house craftspeople. Kinder to the earth and better for the skin, each delicate piece has been knitted using 100% natural fibers, with an entirely zero-waste output in our Auckland workroom. Blending innovation with craftsmanship, we are proud to work with Supima for their increasing efforts in pairing land regeneration with sustainable growing methods for our Cotton tulle. The cotton is traceable and processed in California with no waste, and is spun in Japan using an innovative high-twist technology for strength and softness. 93% of Supima’s cotton harvest comes from San Joaquin Valley, 3% is grown in Arizona, 2% in New Mexico, and 2% in Texas. Grown across 500 family owned farms, Supima cotton represents a very small 1% of global cotton production. The multiple generations that manage the cotton farms each consider their land a legacy and responsibility, to be cared for by us as its custodians. This aligns so beautifully with our own Standard Issue values and practices. We are excited to be on the journey beyond sustainability towards regenerative practices. Working alongside partners who use their technology and knowledge to advocate for this same vision, makes us hopeful for the future. Each delicate piece of tulle is knitted and hand-finished in house by either Mary or Tina, before being steamed by Kaushika & Amy, and finally being labelled by James. Gentle to the earth and to you, each piece of tulle is made to be yours for a lifetime.
