Made in our Auckland workroom, this soft, cotton mask has been knitted as a zero waste whole garment design with a seamless finish. Crafted with a compact spun cotton, the mask has a soft next-to-skin feel and offers superior comfort against the skin.
Our one size fits most masks are washable, reusable and provide a soft, snug fit. Masks are 2ply with an opening at the base to insert a filter. Each mask comes with a custom handmade storage bag crafted in house by our team of skilled makers.

To minimise waste in our workroom we make the mask storage bags from excess material. The colour of the bag you receive may be different to the website image. All are made from 100% natural material.

Please note, a mask alone cannot provide total protection from COVID-19, it is just one tool amongst many that can be used to help protect yourself. These masks are not a substitute for N95 masks, respirators or medical devices. This face mask is a consumer product and has been made for personal use. These masks are not PPE certified, or approved by government authorities. Please stop wearing the mask immediately if breathing becomes difficult. Always contact your healthcare professional if you have difficulty breathing. We recommend hand washing the mask, and hanging to dry out of direct sunlight. Always wash hands thoroughly before and after touching the mask.

We offer free shipping on all NZ orders.

We use a courier service for all orders. Your order will be delivered within approximately 2-3 working days from the date of dispatch. Please note there may be some delays during this time due to covid restrictions.

AUSTRALIA DELIVERY

We offer free shipping for all AU orders over $100. There is a flat rate of $20 for orders under $100. Express shipping is available at check-out at a flat rate of $30.

Cotton

In partnership with the Better Cotton Initiative, our luxurious cotton employs unique spinning technology to give a strong fibre with a crisp, soft finish. Spun in Japan using long-staple fibers, the durable properties of our BCI cotton allows for both seamless wholegarment knitting and intricate stitch techniques, without compromising its strength. This quality fiber is easy to care for and is sure to retain its colour and softness for seasons to come.

Caring for your garment

The care instructions below are a general guide to follow when caring for knitted garments. Please refer to the care label in your garment as first reference.

Washing

Use tepid water and a mild wool care detergent that does not contain bleach. Dissolve thoroughly.
Turn the garment inside out and gently hand wash for several minutes. Dye release is normal for dark colours, particularly in the ﬁrst wash.
Rinse in cool water until all water is clear of suds. Squeeze the water out, rather than wringing or twisting.
You can place your garment in a pillowslip or mesh bag and spin in your washing machine on a gentle cycle, to move excess water. Do not wring the garment.
Dry the garment ﬂat, out of direct sunlight.
Iron on a cool temperature inside out.

Storage

Knitwear should be stored ﬂat to maintain the shape of the garment.
Moths and Silverﬁsh attack natural fibers, especially Merino and Cashmere. They are attracted to unwashed garments, so keeping your knitwear clean will help to protect it. Use Lavender and Cedar to repel these pests.
You can kill insects by placing the aﬀected garment in the freezer in an airtight bag for 72 hours.

Pilling

Standard Issue garments are knitted with a tight tension to minimize pilling. If pilling does occur, use a pilling comb to remove.
Washing settles the fibers and pilling is less likely after the ﬁrst wash.
